I am a 52 years old and have not had a period for three months. Up until now, I had missed only two periods in the last two years. Now, all of a sudden my breasts hurt so bad I can hardly sleep on them. They are sore and tender all over, all day and have been for the past three weeks. In the past, they have been sore right before my period for a couple days in the past, but never for this long. Do I need to worry about anything, or would you say this is probably menopause setting in?

What is a "normal" or typical amount of sex for a person to have per month? If a perimenopausal woman is only interested in sex once every three to four weeks, is that abnormal?

Variety is essential to sticking with healthy snacking. At work, stock a drawer with fat-free microwave popcorn, small portions of almonds or walnuts, and dried fruit like cranberries or cherries. At home, keep a bowl of fresh fruit handy and pre-cut carrots, peppers, cucumbers or other favorites in the fridge. Happy munching!
