Red Bank, NJ - HealthyWomen, the nation's leading nonprofit health information source for women, is working with Media Ventures, Inc., a leading Norwalk, CT based custom publisher, to create two full-color, health-related magazines in 2011. One will focus on breast cancer and one on diabetes. Each will be supported by advertising and will be distributed in 10 major market newspapers with a home delivery circulation of one million. In addition, the magazines, and all their health content, will be available on HealthyWomen's award-winning website www.HealthyWomen.org.
HEALTHYWOMEN: A Woman's Guide to Breast Cancer will be published in October 2011 to coincide with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Its editorial content will encourage readers to take control of their breast health by learning about breast cancer risks and prevention, conducting breast self-exams, getting regular mammograms and embracing a healthy lifestyle.
HEALTHYWOMEN: A Woman's Guide to Diabetes will be published in November 2011 to coincide with American Diabetes Month. Its editorial content is part of a national health initiative providing well-researched independent information about preventing and living with diabetes.
"We're really excited about the opportunity to provide additional resources to women on critical, widespread health issues as part of our mission to ensure all women have access to quality health information," said Elizabeth Battaglino Cahill, RN, executive director of HealthyWomen.
