Jaimie Seaton writes across a wide range of topics, including parenting, marriage and women's health. A journalist and writer for 25 years, she began her career in the DC bureau of the Sunday Times of London. From there, Jaimie moved to Johannesburg, where she reported for the Sunday Times of London, Newsweek and Independent News & Media—the largest local newspaper group in the country. Jaimie has also lived and reported from Singapore and Thailand, where she was Newsweek’s country correspondent. 

Back in the U.S. since 2012, Jaimie’s essays and reported stories on divorce, parenting, retirement and a wide range of topics have been featured in The Washington Post, New York Magazine, The Week and numerous other publications. Her story about pioneering businesswoman Martha Matilda Harper for Atlas Obscura is available on Audible. Jaimie’s essay What Remains is featured in the anthology, We Got This: Solo Mom Stories of Grit, Heart, and Humor, awarded Best Indie Nonfiction of 2019 by Kirkus Reviews.
