Kyle Greenemeyer
Kyle Greenemeyer is a devoted caregiver and fierce advocate whose unwavering support was instrumental in her twin sister Briana’s fight with melanoma. Briana was diagnosed in 2017 with melanoma only in her brain, later complicated by leptomeningeal disease (LMD). From that moment until Briana’s passing in December 2021 at age 45, Kyle became her lifeline — coordinating medical visits and travel between Oklahoma City and MD Anderson in Houston, preparing nourishing meals, helping with physical therapy, curating activities to lift Briana’s spirits, and managing every aspect of day-to-day life. Her steadfast care extended Briana’s life and gave her comfort and hope throughout her journey.
Kyle holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and built a successful career as a bodily injury insurance adjuster. She stepped away from her profession to care for Briana full-time — but her inquisitive background sparked a deep interest in medical knowledge and learning about LMD. Determined to help others facing LMD, Kyle founded a private support group on Facebook in 2019, creating a space where patients and caregivers could find community, education and hope. She also produced informational videos and engaged directly with cancer organizations to amplify awareness of LMD.
Today, Kyle has returned to full-time work but continues to champion the fight against LMD as an active administrator of her online group and a contributor to the Leptomeningeal Cancer Foundation. Her mission: to raise awareness, accelerate research and forge meaningful connections that inspire progress and save lives.
