Kayla Nixon
Kayla Nixon is a public health communicator and community builder with a passion for storytelling that drives impact. Based in Richmond, VA, her work lives at the intersection of clear messaging, cultural relevance, and community connection. With a background spanning associations, nonprofits, and advocacy organizations, Kay specializes in shaping narratives that are authentic, audience-centered, and designed to build trust.
In 2019, Kay became a uterine cancer survivor, an experience that led her to found Uterine Care Collaborative in 2024. The initiative educates Black women on uterine health conditions, improves access to resources, and amplifies the voices of those affected by fibroids, endometriosis, uterine cancer, and PCOS.
Through her work in public health, grassroots organizing, and digital storytelling, Kay is committed to creating spaces where women feel seen, supported, and empowered.
