Jaclyn Wexler
My name is Jaclyn Wexler but I go by Jackie. I’ve always been really healthy besides living with migraine attacks since I was 17 years old. I’ve never even stayed at the hospital in my 44 years. These headache attacks are the only things that can stop me for days straight. I attended Michigan State University and received my bachelor’s degree in advertising and sales. I traveled overseas for the six months after I graduated with my home base being in London, England, where I stayed with my college roommate. Afterward, I moved home due to my dad becoming sick and wanting to be close. I began to substitute teach in my hometown while looking for a career in sales. I fell in love with the classroom and went back to school at The University of Toledo and received my master's in middle education. I teach seventh grade at Toledo Public Schools but am currently on special assignment as an intern consultant, where I help new teachers become successful in their first year of teaching in the district. I’ve never had my own children, but I am an aunt to two amazing nephews and a wonderful niece whom I spend as much time with as possible. I love going for hikes at metroparks and ghost hunts with my girlfriends, and I’m on a cruise ship whenever I can be. I also spend summer weekends at my family's cottage. I foster kittens for my local human society and host about 10 litters a year. My goal in life is to travel and make as many memories as I can with my family and friends.
