All Migraines Are Not the Same

When it comes to length, intensity, and symptoms, migraines can vary drastically from person to person. Take a closer look.

Migraine

A migraine can cause throbbing or pulsing pain on one side of the head. It can be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. Here's the thing, someone who experiences migraines can have all of the symptoms listed above, maybe one, or other symptoms, like blurry or blacked-out vision. Migraines can last for hours to days, and the pain can be so severe that it interferes with your daily activities.

The important thing to note is that migraines are not the same for everyone. To help us understand this point, The Headache & Migraine Policy Forum created the below infographic showing how migraine disease is a spectrum.
