I don't know about you, but sometimes I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and am momentarily startled. Huh? Who IS that...is that really me?
I mean, on the inside I feel at least 20 years younger than my age tells me I am, so why does my face look this way? Why are there all those wrinkles, lines and ahem...age spots?
Believe me, I'm not complaining (well, maybe just a little) about aging. I mean, if we're not getting older that means we don't exist, right? And I'd rather be here, alive and well, wrinkles and all. But at least there are lots of things we can do to help our skin age better. I'm always on the lookout for ways to improve my skin, aren't you?
Every few years when my face startles me with its changes, one thing I do (in addition to eating healthy and using caution in the sun) is change my makeup routine. I head off for a makeover - after all, what better way to feel refreshed and control the ravages than with some new makeup? It's kind of like a tune-up for your face. Whether I stroll around the makeup counters at a big department store or visit with a cosmetologist, some new makeup is always a treat.
Recently I was lucky enough to visit with Laura Geller, who gave me a most wonderful makeover. You can get an inside view here, and hear all of Laura's great tips on easy ways to even out your skin tone.
