Maria Meyer graduated from Boston College’s Connell School of Nursing in Boston, Massachusetts with her bachelor’s and master’s degrees and is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner. Currently, Maria practices as a WHNP at the largest federally qualified health center system in Oklahoma, Variety Care Health Centers, providing comprehensive women’s health services.
Maria is adjunct faculty at the University of Central Oklahoma, the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma City Community College for pre-licensure nursing students. She is the Advocacy Committee chair for the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, the Region 1 (OKC area) representative for the Oklahoma Nurses Association, and the public relations coordinator for the Oklahoma Section of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, baking, hiking, and rooting on her hometown team: the Pittsburgh Steelers.
