Jeannette Malburg
Jeannette Malburg lives in Cooper, Texas, (two hours north of Dallas) with her wife, Stephanie, and their two dachshunds, Lola and Zara.
Jeannette was a legal assistant for 25 years and a senior administrative assistant for research faculty at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, for five years.
Outside of work, she enjoys weekend road trips with Stephanie and their dogs; going to the casino; traveling to Michigan to see her brother, sister-in-law and three nieces; or meeting up each year with her close group of 12 friends whom she has known for almost 40 years.
Jeannette has had many health setbacks, and she’s been living with ovarian cancer since 2014. She gets her positive attitude and her strength from her mom, who passed away from heart disease at the age of 59. Her main sources of support are Stephanie and her close group of friends.
As a result of her health challenges, Jeannette has become her greatest self-advocate, researching her health issues and looking for ways to help herself as well as others.
