Kim Ledgerwood

Editorial Director, HealthyWomen

As HealthyWomen’s editorial director, Kim oversees the production of all content and ensures that it is aligned with our mission, meets our high editorial standards and captures our brand voice.

Kim is an award-winning editor and copywriter with more than 25 years of experience. She started her career as a copywriter and broadcast producer at the Southeast’s largest full-service advertising agency, The Tombras Group. Since then, she has edited and written for a wide variety of clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to indie authors across multiple industries and topics.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, as well as a master’s degree in communications/advertising from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Kim lives in Maryland with her husband, three children and a menagerie of pets.

Jacquelyne Froeber

Senior Editor, HealthyWomen

Jacquelyne Froeber is an award-winning journalist and editor. She holds a BA in journalism from Michigan State University. She is the former editor-in-chief of Celebrated Living magazine and has editing and writing experience for print and online publications, including Health magazine, Coastal Living magazine and AARP.org.

As a breast cancer survivor, Jacquelyne encourages everyone to perform self-exams and get their yearly mammograms.

Parking:                     **Limited metered street parking is available on Reservoir Rd starting at 6:30 PM. Attendees may park at the Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center Parking Garage for $25. The parking garage is located at 3800 Reservoir RD NW, Washington, DC 20057.  It is about a 7-minute walk from the parking garage to the Embassy of France. DC Yellow Cab taxi service is available in front of the Georgetown University Hotel at the Leavey Center taxi stand; contact DC Yellow Cab at 202.544.0911.

Security:                   **Please bring a government-issued photo ID. Security personnel who will verify attendee’s ID against the Celebrate HealthyWomen guest list will greet all attendees at the Embassy of France gate. Guests will proceed through the security clearance process which includes a metal detector. Contact Karen Hench before June 2nd to confirm your full name is on the guest list.

Lodging: While Washington, DC has many fine hotels, the closest to the Embassy of France is the Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center, 3800 Reservoir RD NW Washington, DC 20057. Phone 202.687.3200. Visit their website HERE.

Silent Auction:     A uniquely creative Celebrate HealthyWomen Silent Auction will be open for onsite bidding at 6:30 PM on June 7th.  The Silent Auction will feature artwork and other treasured items by members of the health care community.
