Kim Ledgerwood

Editorial Director, HealthyWomen

As HealthyWomen’s editorial director, Kim oversees the production of all content and ensures that it is aligned with our mission, meets our high editorial standards and captures our brand voice.

Kim is an award-winning editor and copywriter with more than 25 years of experience. She started her career as a copywriter and broadcast producer at the Southeast’s largest full-service advertising agency, The Tombras Group. Since then, she has edited and written for a wide variety of clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to indie authors across multiple industries and topics.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, as well as a master’s degree in communications/advertising from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Kim lives in Maryland with her husband, three children and a menagerie of pets.

Jacquelyne Froeber

Senior Editor, HealthyWomen

Jacquelyne Froeber is an award-winning journalist and editor. She holds a BA in journalism from Michigan State University. She is the former editor-in-chief of Celebrated Living magazine and has editing and writing experience for print and online publications, including Health magazine, Coastal Living magazine and AARP.org.

As a breast cancer survivor, Jacquelyne encourages everyone to perform self-exams and get their yearly mammograms.

In May 2009, veteran communications specialist Nancy Glick joined the Washington office of MS&L as Senior Vice President and Director of Health and Nutrition Affairs. A cancer survivor with over 25 years of experience in journalism, communications and social marketing, Nancy specializes in cancer communications and also uses her experience as a patient to develop patient education and advocacy initiatives in such areas disease prevention and health promotion, community health, disease management, women’s health, and elder care. Nancy is also responsible for developing strategic alliances with health, medical, consumer and patient groups to assist the firm’s clients in conducting health education campaigns and in building coalitions to advance health care issues. 

Before coming to MS&L, Nancy served for eight years as Executive Vice President within Ruder Finn Washington's healthcare practice, and as the Director of Health and Nutrition Affairs for the firm.  Her areas of specialty in the healthcare and food/nutrition arena include health promotion, cancer policy, obesity management, women's health, elder care, community health, food safety and nutrition education.

Prior to joining Ruder Finn in 2001, Nancy served in a variety of positions at Hill and Knowlton, Inc. She was a press officer at the Food and Drug Administration where she handled food, cosmetics, drugs and consumer issues and agency announcements about product recalls. She also served in the Office of Consumer Affairs as the speechwriter and deputy press director for Virginia Knauer, special assistant to the President for Consumer Affairs.

As a former press officer, Nancy maintains ongoing contact with the Washington press corps. She also maintains ongoing relations with national consumer, patient advocacy and women’s organizations, developing partnerships for a number of social marketing and advocacy campaigns. Passionate about cancer advocacy and women’s causes, Nancy served on the boards of the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship and the Friends of the World Food Program and is a current board member of the National Women’s Resource Center. Among her many accomplishments, Nancy was recognized for excellence by the Public Relations Quarterly, and was listed as one of PRQ's "PR Superstars."
