About The Expert
Dr. Nick Debnath is Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at the Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis. He is a rhinologist, allergist and endoscopic sinus surgeon at the Washington University Sinus Institute.
He earned his bachelor's degree with honors in biochemistry from Harvard University and his medical degree from the University of Tennessee. He completed his surgical internship and otolaryngology residency at Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis. He has spent three additional years engaging in two research fellowships—immunology at the National Institutes of Health and neurophysiology at Washington University School of Medicine. He then completed a one-year advanced surgical fellowship in rhinology, endoscopic sinus surgery and endoscopic skull base surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Debnath’s current surgical interests include functional endoscopic sinus surgery, difficult revision sinus surgical cases, frontal sinus surgery, endoscopic repair of cerebrospinal fluid leaks, minimally invasive sinus tumor surgery and endoscopic anterior skull base surgery. His research interests center around outcomes of functional endoscopic sinus surgery and treatments for chronic sinusitis.
Dr. Debnath is board certified in otolaryngology and is a member of the American Rhinologic Society and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He was the recipient of the Patients' Choice Award in 2009.
