Dr. Bruce M. Prenner is a physician and clinical investigator with Allergy Partners of San Diego.
Dr. Prenner received his bachelor of science degree in biology from Brooklyn College in Brooklyn, New York, and his doctor of medicine degree from State University of New York in Buffalo. He served his internship at Babies Hospital, Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, in New York City and was a resident and fellow in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California at San Diego.
Dr. Prenner has published more than 100 articles in various journals over the past three-plus decades. He also lectures on topics such as "Combination Drug Therapies: Simplifying Dosing Regimens" and "The Single Pill Solution."
Much of his early research and published articles focused on treatment of allergies and asthma in children. More recent studies have examined a wide spectrum of drugs used to treat children and adults and have looked at safe and effective long-term treatment of allergies and asthma using various medications and combinations of medications.
Dr. Prenner is licensed by the state of California and certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. He also is a Certified Clinical Investigator-DIA and a Certified Physician Investigator-CPI.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics; the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology; and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He is a member of the San Diego Allergy Society, the California Allergy Society, the Western Allergy Society and the San Diego Medical Society.
