Dr. Edward C. Jauch is currently a Professor and Director of Research in the Division of Emergency Medicine and the Department of Neuroscience at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.
Dr. Jauch's primary area of clinical service and research is in diagnosis and treatment of acute neurologic emergencies, including stroke and traumatic brain injury. Dr. Jauch serves on the executive committee for the NINDS sponsored IMS3 Interventional Management of Stroke Study and serves as an internal safety monitor for several other NIH/NINDS therapeutic trials. Dr. Jauch is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Heart Association and serves on several national committees for both organizations related to acute treatment guidelines creation, patient care and safety.
