Dr. Anita Gupta is a board certified pain anesthesiologist with a doctorate in pharmacy and a masters in public policy and certificate in health policy from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. She has been a healthcare provider for over 20 years and serves as a member of the National Academies of Science’s Global Forum and has served as a FDA advisor on the Anesthetic and Analgesic Drug Products Advisory Committee. She has been the recipient of the Learner Award from the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC) in Washington D.C. She also has served a thought leader for the Washington Post, Forbes, CNN, Doctor Oz, and others, to discuss high profile medical cases including the Amtrak crash, Tiger Woods, Bill Cosby, Angelina Jolie, and Prince. She has been featured on the cover of Philly Biz magazine as Top in Healthcare in Philadelphia and an international editor and author of books by Oxford University Press, Interventional Pain Medicine, and Pharmacology in Anesthesia Practice and 50 Studies Every Anesthesiologist Should Know. She completed the executive Wharton Total Leadership Program at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Gupta's contributions have earned her recognition for public health, service, and scientific medical expertise in pharmacology, pain and frontline patient care. She completed her Doctorate in Pharmacy at Rutgers University and her medical degree from UMDNJ (now Rowan University), and her residency in anesthesiology at Georgetown University School of Medicine, and clinical scientist training during her medical residency at National Institutes of Health, NHLBI. Dr. Gupta completed postdoctoral professional education from MIT in controlled release drug technology and interventional multidisciplinary pain fellowship from Johns Hopkins University.
