Carol Landau, PhD
Carol Landau, PhD, is an author, lecturer and consultant. She is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Medicine at Alpert Medical School, Brown University. Dr. Landau is also co-chair of the Psychology and Psychiatry in Primary Care Committee in the Department of Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital, where she leads seminars on depression in primary care, adolescent and adult development and personality styles, as well as other topics in behavioral medicine.
She is a wellness expert at iVillage.com and also writes for theVisualMD.com. Dr. Landau has published and presented over 50 academic papers and her work is cited frequently in the academic and popular press. She coauthored the chapters on depression and somatization in the text The Primary Care of Women, edited by Drs. Karen Carlson and associates at Harvard Medical School (Mosby, 2002).
