Actress Kristin Chenoweth was diagnosed with asthma several years ago. She shares her experience firsthand.

I can pinpoint my first symptom of asthma to around the time of the 9/11 tragedy. It all started when I noticed a change in my breathing – I found myself coughing a great deal, having trouble catching my breath and felt tightness in my chest. I brushed my symptoms off as a result of stress and anxiety from the recent events and didn't give them much more thought.

When people ask me for beauty tips, I don't mention anti-aging creams, fillers or a perfect shade of lipstick. I tell them to "stand up tall and smile." That advice may come as a surprise to those who know that I have spent over 35 years of my life in front of a camera as a model and spokesperson for Revlon, Max Factor, Estée Lauder and L'Oréal. But throughout the years, I learned that maintaining inner health and happiness is what truly makes a woman beautiful, not her beauty regimen.

While working for a nonprofit in Thailand, I learned something that shook my world: There are people who don't know what soap is and have never used it. Yes, millions of people. In fact, according to Unilever, 70 million people in India alone have never washed their hands.

As a fitness professional, dancer and choreographer, I really believe in the power of physical activity when it comes to the body, mind and soul. Low-impact exercise, such as dance fitness for example, has benefits far beyond just weight loss. I have seen this firsthand with students who take my classes, as well as my own mother, who, unfortunately, has osteoarthritis (OA).

A quick Google search for "breast cancer information" yields 220 million hits in two-tenths of a second.

That's great stuff—but seriously??? How can anyone be expected to sort through that much online medical information to find what's pertinent? Is it outdated? Is it reliable?
