Would YOU Jump Out of a Plane?
By Sheryl Kraft
I got a kick out of this: Former President Bush (senior) celebrated his 85th birthday by jumping out of a plane, parachuting down from over 10,000 feet up. For me, someone who is afraid of even being IN a plane, I ask: this is supposed to be fun??
I can think of a lot of fun things to do to celebrate a birthday: Blowing candles out on a cake is fun; getting a massage is fun, going away to a special place is fun....but jumping out of a plane? Yikes.
But I can't help but think that this is really something. I mean, the guy is not young, after all, and he's doing something that even someone half - or even a quarter of his age - might wince at.
Bush's message was not a subtle one: go out and enjoy life. He described his post-jump like this: "I'm exhilarated, charged up, excited."
As I've said, it's all about attitude!
Would you jump out of an airplane to celebrate your birthday? Or, maybe you have some other original ideas!?/p>
