Health Tip: Make Exercise Economical

HealthDay News

Your workplace may offer a low-cost option

(HealthDay News) -- The expense of joining a gym or taking a class can keep some people from exercising. But there are low- or no-cost options for getting fit.

The Weight-Control Information Network suggests these affordable options:

  • Check your office or place of worship for activities such as walking or dancing.
  • Run or walk at a local park or school track.
  • Take a walk in a local museum or at a nearby mall.
  • Use a workout DVD or video at home. Rent it from the library or trade with friends.
