The
National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program,
administered by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,
helps low-income, uninsured and under-served women gain access to
lifesaving early detection programs for breast and cervical cancers.
Pap tests and mammography can help identify these cancers at early
stages. Services are provided either free-of-charge or on a sliding
scale based on your income. For more information about this program

A program called
WISEWOMAN (Well-Integrated
Screening and Evaluation for Women Across the Nation), funded by
the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, provides screening
tests, including blood pressure, blood cholesterol and diabetes
testing, as well as referral services, aimed at reducing the risk
for heart disease and other chronic diseases, among 40 to 64 year-old
uninsured and under-insured women in 15 states who are enrolled in the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program.. For more information,
