Caregiving Guide
My father is a Vietnam War veteran. I've moved closer to him so we can do more things together, and I've noticed his health isn't as good as it was. I thought he was getting the health care he needs, but now I'm not so sure. He smokes a lot, and I'm worried about heart disease.
Why Pets Make Great Caregiving Companions
Few life pleasures are as comforting as a dog or cat peacefully napping by your side. Pets can alleviate loneliness, lower blood pressure and stave off depression.

My son Joe DeVere was diagnosed with a more aggressive form of Multiple Sclerosis in 2002 six months after he married my daughter-in-law Rosanna. As a result of his disabilities he also had a serious car accident on August 2, 2005 and is now a paraplegic who continues to battle with secondary progressive Multiple Sclerosis. I so admire Rosanna my daughter-in-law and her commitment and love of my son.
