Uterine Fibroid Treatment at the National Institutes of Health
Doctors at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are seeking women ages 33-50 with uterine fibroids for a study that will test a new treatment. Women will receive a new drug (CDB-2914) or a non-active (placebo) pill for 3 months before a hysterectomy. Women who have symptoms such as uterine bleeding, pelvic pain or pressure, have no desire for pregnancy and who are willing to undergo a hysterectomy are eligible.
