The mission of the Center for Uterine Fibroids is: (1) To define the causes of fibroid-related symptoms by investigating the hormonal, genetic and molecular processes of fibroid growth and development; (2)
To develop and test innovative treatment options for uterine fibroids including growth factor-directed therapy and gene therapy; and (3)
To provide current scientific information and resources to women with fibroids and to their health care providers.
