CREST syndrome: A subset of scleroderma patients with limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis, which is characterized by calcinosis (accumulation of calcium salts under the skin); Raynaud's phenomenon (see separate entry); esophageal dysfunction; sclerodactyly (scleroderma of the fingers or toes); and telangiectasia (tiny blood vessels near the surface of the skin that show through). Patients with CREST syndrome may produce the anticentromere autoantibody.
