Acne: This aggravating skin condition is common among teens and is believed to result from hormones, which increase during puberty and can cause glands to enlarge and make more sebum (oil). It can be mild with blackheads and whiteheads, moderate with red pimples or pustules (closed pus-containing pockets) or severe with large cysts or nodules.
