HealthDay News

But no suggestion will work for everyone

(HealthDay News) -- Though no single eating plan works for everyone, changing your diet can help you better manage inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

The Womenshealth.gov Web site says you should discuss with your doctor whether these suggestions to manage IBD may work for you:

  • Stay away from fried or greasy foods.
  • Restrict meats and creamy sauces.
  • Take any vitamin or mineral supplements recommended by your doctor.
  • Steer clear of spicy foods.
  • Limit high-fiber foods such as nuts and raw vegetables or fruits.
  • Eat small meals throughout the day.
