Caregiver of the Month: January 2013
Submitted by Sharon Diamond, ARNP
I would like to nominate my wonderful friend Norma Bray who has been the most supportive, loving and caring caregiver of her husband, Jim, whose mental and physical health is in decline secondary to Alzheimer's.
You would never know that Norma has this huge task of caring for all of Jim's needs on a daily basis, as she is always up and makes the best out of each and every day.
She loves her husband dearly and unconditionally and goes through her day-to-day functions with positivity and gentleness toward her husband. She is truly a remarkable, wise and strong woman who left a vital career to do what she has to do. None of us know what caregivers go through and the stress it brings every moment.
I know Norma's deep religious conviction and faith in her Lord gives her enormous strength, as does her wonderful extended family who love both of them very much.
I sincerely would like to nominate and celebrate my friend Norma Bray. She is very special to me.
