Breast Health: Ask the Experts
"Breast Health: Ask the Experts" is a question and answer service produced by the National Women's Health Resource Center (NWHRC). The service welcomes any and all questions related to breast health and breast care from women. This includes questions about breast development and breast changes; breast appearance; breast diseases and conditions, including breast cancer; nutrition and breast health; fitness and breast health; breast reconstruction and breast implants (augmentation); breast health and sexuality; general breast health and breast care.
The mission of this service is to provide readers with credible, accessible information so that they can make better decisions concerning their breast health and well-being. The service is not meant to be a substitute for regular clinical breast exams or a replacement for individual medical care, however.
The questions are answered by the NWHRC Breast Health Advisory Panel, a team of five experienced medical experts, including several breast cancer specialists and plastic and breast reconstruction surgeons. A new question will be selected and answered every two weeks. Due to the anticipated volume of questions submitted, it is unlikely all questions submitted will be acknowledged.
