If you celebrate Christmas in your house and your children are super excited for Santa's arrival, you're going to love these websites: One will track Santa - in real time - as he makes his way south from the North Pole and around the world, another will enable you to take a photo of Santa placing presents under your Christmas tree in your living room, another will let you create a video of Santa talking about your child's status on his "Nice List," and the fourth website will send your little one (via your email address) a personalized email from Santa! NoradSanta.org Your children will be glued to this website on Christmas Eve as NORAD (yes, the North American Aerospace Defense Command) tracks Santa via radar and video "news" reports of Santa sightings. It's so well done that you'll be pulled in too and become just as excited as your children when Santa is nearing your area.
CaptureTheMagic.com At CaptureTheMagic.com you can create "proof" that Santa was in your home! Their team of elves has made the process quick and easy -- simply upload a photo of your Christmas tree, select one of their Santas, and download the photo. At $9.95 it would make a sweet keepsake for your little one.
WriteToSantaClaus.com Mailing letters to Santa is so 2007 :) This year, help your little one email Santa their wish list! You'll be happy to know Santa checks his email instantly so his response to your child's email arrives within moments. The website may not be the best but the email you receive will brighten everyone's day (and let you know if you need to run out to the mall again)!
Gideon and I have traveled south to Florida where most of my family will be celebrating the holidays. Spending time with my Mom, nieces, nephews, brothers, and sister-in-laws, is my favorite way to spend the holidays! It's always a treat coming down here because it's non-stop chaos when we all get-together. Fortunately, when it gets to be too much, my husband, Gideon and I can retreat to our room which, by the way, is about 100,000 times bigger than our apartment. Before I even had our bags unpacked my brother showed me something that I HAVE to share with everyone: Family.go.com has created one of the coolest interactive tools I've seen in a long while. In less than a minute I was able to input Gideon's name and upload a photo to create a personalized video message to him from Santa!
I can honestly say there is nothing more exciting than being a new mom. Having a baby can dramatically change your life in a positive way. Unfortunately, becoming a new mom can sometimes leave you feeling less attractive than you did before your pregnancy. Don't think that having a baby means a world of bulky sweaters and roomy pants.
Fortunately for me (and you, dear reader), Hot Mama Personal Shopping's Gina Marzano and I went to Ann Taylor Loft where she showed how a new mom can look great post-pregnancy this Fall - even when she's on a budget. Read more...

Over the past two decades, there has been an extraordinary rise in the number of multiple births in the United States. Between 1980 and 2004, the number of twin births increased by 70% and the number of births involving three or more babies has quadrupled. The first days, weeks, and months are often the most difficult for parents of multiples, as everyone learns to get used to the frequent feedings and the lack of sleep.
I recently visited Kidegories with Lisa Madden, RN and mother of triplets - plus one, where she shared some seriously smart tips for every new mom of multiples. Read more...
*** Special thanks to Kidegories in Shrewsberry, New Jersey, for allowing us to videotape in their wonderful store. While we were there I feel in love with this Twilight Turtle. It's fantastic!
Clipping baby nails is often terrifying for most new parents. And, if you've ever accidentally nicked your baby's skin like I have (twice), you know how traumatizing it can be.
Your baby's nails are softer and more pliable than yours, but make no mistake, they're sharp and if your baby is anything like Gideon, you're both likely covered in scratches.
So, how can you clip your baby's fingernails and toenails without hurting them? There are a several ways worth trying. One of which is bound to work for you and your little one. Read more and watch our video...
Using a nail file In my opinion, filing your baby's nails with an emery board is the least difficult but it takes a lot more time. Just be careful not to file their tender skin under the nail bed. Using a baby nail clipper The best piece of advice I ever got was to wait until the baby is sleeping to clip their nails. Making it one of the easiest and quickest methods. Clip their nails as you would you own and press the finger pad away from the nail to avoid nicking the skin, and keep a firm hold on your child's hand as you clip.
If you choose to trim your baby's nails while they're awake, try to distract them and remain relaxed. When a newborn is alert they tend to clench their fist tightening the gap between the fingertip and nail, which makes the process a lot more difficult and potentially dangerous. Gently push back the fingertip from the nail to allow space for the nail clipper. This will help prevent clipping your baby's finger. Short little clips above the white nail line will help prevent clipping to close.
Baby toenails should be clipped straight across.
If you are still feeling really uneasy about clipping your baby's nails for the first time ask a more seasoned parent to show you how they do it.

As a new mom it's nearly impossible to find time to exercise. And, even if I could find the time, who would watch my little guy for me? Since I would love to get my pre-baby body back, Gideon and I enjoyed a little Mommy & Me workout with the help and guidance of Leslie McNabb, HealthyWomen.org's Fitness Expert. What's really great about these exercises is that you can do them at home alone or with your little one.
