Dr. Nadeau is a licensed clinical psychologist and an authority on Attention Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder (AD/HD), with a particular focus on women and girls. She is the first editor of Understanding Women with AD/HD, published in 2002 by Advantage Books, and the first author of Understanding Girls with AD/HD, published in 1999 by Advantage Books.
As Director of Chesapeake ADHD Center in Silver Spring, Md., she offers individual and group therapy for adults with AD/HD, as well as educational and career consultations related to AD/HD. Dr. Nadeau specializes in career and workplace issues related to AD/HD and is the author of ADD in the Workplace, published by Brunner/Mazel in 1996.
Dr. Nadeau and her partner, Patricia Quinn, MD, a developmental pediatrician, established the first website devoted to the issues of women and girls with AD/HD in 1997, www.addvance.com; Drs. Quinn and Nadeau have recently created the non-profit organization, The National Center for Gender Issues and AD/HD, www.ncgiadd.org, to promote public education, advocacy, and research on AD/HD in women and girls. Dr. Nadeau offers lectures and training seminars, both nationally and internationally, on issues related to AD/HD.
