To meet its goal of helping women become informed consumers of health information, the National Women's Health Resource Center (NWHRC) continues to develop innovative programs and partnerships aimed at increasing awareness of disease prevention and health promotion for all women.

Internship Program
The National Women's Health Resource Center (NWHRC) has an ongoing internship program for qualified undergraduates and graduates interested in women's health and wellness. The NWHRC internship program is based out of our national headquarters located in Red Bank, New Jersey and interns must be able to commute to our New Jersey office during their internship.
Responsibilities of NWHRC interns

Responding to consumer health inquiries by conducting comprehensive on-line information searches.

Fulfilling orders for publication requests.

Updating and gathering information pertaining to other national women's health organizations. This information will be utilized to continuously update the NWHRC's "Women's Health Resources Lists," an overview of national resources, suggested reading and web sites for consumers and healthcare professionals on specific women's health topics.

Expanding the Center's Healthywomen.org database by adding new state/national women's health resources and updating existing state/national women's health information.

Special projects pertaining to current and upcoming campaigns.

Opportunities to attend local events and community health fairs.

Assistance with office responsibilities to include: consumer mailings, database entry, media updates and specific projects focused on women's healthcare issues.
The NWHRC is constantly evolving to meet the needs of women's health consumers. We welcome motivated, independent, and self-disciplined persons interested in learning more about women's health to bring their ideas and energy to our office.
Part and full-time intern positions are available at the NWHRC. Hours are flexible and help with obtaining college credits will be offered.
