Kathleen Drew (Chair)

Kathleen Drew is Executive Producer of Video Projects for The Magazine Group, one of the country's top custom publishing companies, based in Washington, DC. Ms. Drew worked nearly 20 years in television journalism beginning with the launch of the Cable News Network in Atlanta in 1980. Ms. Drew was a writer and producer in Atlanta and Washington DC. In the late 1980's she reported on-air for CNN from Rome, Italy. She also produced interviews for the CBS News program Nightwatch with Charlie Rose as well as documentaries for PBS and cable television.

In 1990, after living in Rome three years, Ms. Drew joined ABC News in Washington DC. From 1990 to 1997 she produced news stories for Weekend News, This Week with David Brinkley and World News Tonight. As a field producer for Weekend News, Ms. Drew covered a myriad of subjects in Washington and around the country including stories on women's health and public health policy. As a producer for This Week, she covered politics during two presidential elections and three congressional election cycles. This Week sent her around the country to produce background pieces on a wide variety of public policy and political issues featured on the weekly public affairs program. In addition, Ms. Drew produced the background pieces when the show went on the road for the APEC Summit in Seattle, a special on the State of California broadcast from Los Angeles, and the 50th Anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, France. Ms. Drew was also a producer for the World News Tonight segment It's Your Money, which investigated how the government spent taxpayer dollars.

Ms. Drew has done a wealth of volunteer work in public education. She is currently Chair of the Board of Directors for the National Women's Health Center.
