Amanda G. Powell, MD

Amanda Powell has been involved with obesity and weight management since 2005.  She is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boston University and has a full-time clinical practice in the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Nutrition and Weight Management.

She has a strong interest in both obesity and diabetes with a focus on using pharmacotherapy for weight management. She has published reviews, abstracts and an upcoming chapter on nutrition, obesity and pharmacotherapy.

Dr. Powell received her MD from Brown University and did her residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
